- Our Unbiased Recommendation:
We recommend EVO Weight Management dry dog food for a good low carbohydrate high protein diet for senior dogs. The EVO Weight Management cost is slightly higher than Blue Buffalo and Wysong but the amount of carbohydrates is much less and the protein is much higher. There are more vitamins in the EVO dog food as well. Both Wysong and Blue Buffalo would be excellent foods for seniors that would not do well on a high protein diet due to kidney problems. All foods reviewed have excellent vitamin and omega fatty acid content.
