Pet Pals, Inc. Rescue

Pet Pals Inc. is a State and Federal licensed nonprofit corporation that was formed in August 2001. Our mission is to achieve a humane existence for animals and reduce the number of stray and unwanted animals.

We provide spay/neuter clinics, educational programs for the public and schools, nursing home pet therapy and work with other shelters and rescue organizations in the transport and saving of lives.

From our beginning we have assisted directly in the rescue and placement of 1,000 animals and hosted spay/neuter clinics with over 2,500 pets being fixed. This has been accomplished thru voluntary services only.

We have encountered many obstacles. We are located in Hawk Springs, Wyoming. Currently our county has no shelter, no animal control officer and no county laws have been adopted by our county commissioners. Currently the laws allow for people to destroy pets that have no identification by shooting them. Cats are listed as a predator (by State Game & Fish regulations). I'm sure you can imagine some of the horrific animal abuse and deaths that we have encountered.

We are trying to educate the public about the importance of spaying/neutering and caring for their family pets. Donations are very much appreciated to help us continue our work.
